"As a female artist who has, like most, endured forced change at some point in life, I am reminded we must hang on to the intimate colorful part that defines us. It is this belief that inspired the Hindsight Series, looking closer at cultural change. Using my research skills as a former history professor, combined with my desire to do contemporary work that sparks introspection, I've created work that illustrates the differences before and after Native American assimilation. Each has a very unique story that sparks conversation."
